Sensei Tomiko Mitsuoka

Tomiko Mitsuoka (Black Belt 7th Dan)

teaches at Farnham Common

I was one of the pioneering ladies of Shotokan Karate-Do. I started 44 years ago, after I had my second son Jo. Then suddenly I was ready to compete and entered several world championships and got several titles with my team. I came to Slough with my two sons in 1994, I opened a Karate class and hoped to return back to the karate world which I left.

My Karate classes are very family oriented, everybody is welcome. I am open minded.

Sensei Andy Hunt

Andy Hunt (Black Belt 2nd Dan)

 teaches at Farnham Common.

I came to karate comparatively late in life, at 43 years old to be precise. I trained with a KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) affiliated club and found the combination of physical and mental exercise and discipline to be of great value in my personal and professional life. After a number of attempts,  I received my 1st Dan from Sensei K. Enoeda the KUGB & JKA Chief Instructor in 1998. Truly, to succeed in Karate, you must persevere.

After the death of Sensei Eneoda, I joined the Renseikan club to train with Sensei Mitsuoka. Sensei has taught me much about Karate and honours me by trusting me to teach at the club. Sensei promoted me to 2nd Dan in 2005, and as I continue to develop my Karate through teaching and training, I hope that I will be able to earn 3rd Dan soon.
