Meaning: Be sincere, honest, and true in your actions and intentions.
Japanese: 一、努力の精神を養うこと
Romaji: Hitotsu, doryoku no seishin o yashinau koto
Phonetic Pronunciation: (Hee-toh-tsoo, dor-yoh-koo noh say-shin oh yah-shee-nah-oo koh-toh)
Meaning: Commit yourself fully to training with effort and determination.
Japanese: 一、礼儀を重んずること
Romaji: Hitotsu, reigi o omonzuru koto
Phonetic Pronunciation: (Hee-toh-tsoo, ray-gee oh oh-mon-zoo-roo koh-toh)
Meaning: Show respect, courtesy, and proper etiquette at all times.
Japanese: 一、血気の勇を戒むること
Romaji: Hitotsu, kekki no yū o imashimuru koto
Phonetic Pronunciation: (Hee-toh-tsoo, kehk-kee noh yoo oh ee-mah-shee-moo-roo koh-toh)
Meaning: Avoid reckless or aggressive behaviour; use karate responsibly and with control.
